Common questions

What clients usually ask first

If your question is not here, ask it on the call.

Where is your team based?

We work from Karachi, Pakistan, serving clients in the United States, Europe and the Middle East. Everything is delivered remotely, and we work to your systems, your templates and your deadlines rather than asking you to change how you operate.

How do time zones work in practice?

Karachi is UTC+5. That puts us one hour ahead of the Gulf, three to five hours ahead of the UK and Western Europe, and nine to ten hours ahead of the US East Coast. In practice that means a full working day alongside Gulf clients, a shared morning with Europe, and overnight turnaround for the United States, where work you send at the end of your day is often finished before your next one begins.

What accounting software do you work with?

We work in the system you already use rather than asking you to move to ours. That covers the main cloud platforms including Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage, Zoho Books and FreshBooks, along with larger systems such as SAP and NetSuite. If you run something less common, mention it on the call and we will tell you honestly how quickly we can get up to speed.

Can we start with one small piece of work?

Yes, and we usually suggest it. Most clients begin with a single defined job, a set of accounts, a month end close, a financial model or a due diligence review, and decide from there whether to make it ongoing. There is no minimum commitment and no lock in.

How do you charge?

Fixed fee or hourly, agreed in writing before anything starts, so you know the cost before we begin. Transaction work is always priced as a fixed or hourly fee and never as a percentage of the deal.

How do you keep our information secure?

Encrypted devices, two factor authentication on every account, access limited to the people actually working on your file, and nothing stored on personal devices. We sign a mutual confidentiality agreement before you send us anything, and our written information security policy is available on request.

Who owns the work you produce?

You do. Every deliverable, file and working paper we prepare on your engagement belongs to you, and if you ever decide to take the work elsewhere we hand over everything without argument.

What happens if the work is not right?

We fix it. Everything passes through our internal review before it reaches you, and if something still needs correcting we correct it at our cost within the agreed scope. We would rather redo a piece of work than have you check ours.
